6 Things happen with

6 Things happen with "Me" actions

I need to get more “Me” things done. Not only that, I also want to support the ones I love and in fact all those who are meaningful to me flourish. Fact!

Lies and dam lies.

Making a “Hitlist" of daily actions that serve you physically and mentally is a great start and segway into habit forming and developing self-trust.

Do you trust yourself and the promises you make to yourself?

Bill Philips in the 90s said "Would you want to spend your time with people you don’t trust, or who would lie to you?"

I might be going out on a limb here, but I assume the answer is probably NOT!

So, when you make an action list, do you lie to yourself?

Do you over promise and under deliver? Do you continue to entertain these lies and dismiss them to the extent they, and your action lists becomes meaningless?

Three Pack Options

Then stop it.

Every day we experience life for 24 hours. Ideally. 8-10 of these are ideally spent sleeping!

Sleep is critical to rejuvenate, regenerate, consolidate learnings, store and reinforce quality and detailed memories, and refresh our physiological and biological systems.

So yes. Sleep is essential.

By deduction there are 14 -16 hours left of each day, to be active, learn from the past, live in the present, and to dream or scheme for our future. Essentially pacing ourselves and navigating life. That is a lot of time to do a lot of things, some things we might enjoy more than others,

I wrote about GRIT, and "capacity" last week. In case you missed it you can find it here. Following on from that article..

Get your GRIT on.

Grit is “Applying physical actions with a deliberate MINDSET, committed with fortitude, persistence and foresight”. (Donny Singe - Grit Mindset Coach)

So, get a daily action win list. This is my favourite coaching tool to provoke action and to hold you accountable for your decisions and promises. It is simple and drives results.

This list is 5-10 (max) actions that specifically drive you to an outcome or goal you have identified, are clear on, and which adds value to your life, or your loved ones.

For each action, before you commit, ask yourself two questions:

  1. Will this action bring me closer to my goal?
  2. Is it important or a priority?

6 things that happen?

  1. You’ll get that action done, and progress forward.
  2. You’ll discover your limitations and adjust if required.
  3. You’ll learn to deliver.
  4. You’ll identify lags that slow you down.
  5. You’ll identify clutter that speeds you up but decreases your focus.
  6. You’ll know more about what really matters.

    You’ll develop:

    • Consistency,
    • Routine, and
    • Scheduling.

Not in an officious or regimented way, but rather in a declutter and compartmentalised way.

You increase the efficiency of your capacity and free up space in your life.

    Donny Singe - Love Life

Many micro wins make macro wins

Similar to how Olympic athletes pursue marginal gains, you can pursue micro wins during your day to drive bigger wins in any area of your life.

Build positive momentum, safe exposure to unfamiliar elements, and reinforce behaviours and habits, all the while reducing fear of change and challenge.

All from a simple daily Hitlist of actions.

Try it, but only if you can commit for at least 10 days straight. Let me know how you go in the comments. I would love to hear any feedback.
